Los Angeles-based rock band Dead Sara, one of the standout new bands at this year’s SXSW, and one of RollingStone’s breakout picks of the year, will release their self-titled full-length debut on April 10, 2012. Fronted by Emily Armstrong with Siouxsie Medley on guitar, Chris Null on bass and Sean Friday on drums, Dead Sara mixes hard rock with bluesy vocals and a DIY punk attitude. From the buzz surrounding their electrifying live performances to the viral popularity of their single “Weatherman,” Armstrong has already had an incredible year: she’s earned the approval of Grace Slick, who called her out in a recent Wall Street Journal article, and Courtney Love, who invited Armstrong to sing backup for her on “Nobody’s Daughter.”

Shortly after the release of their record (produced by Noah Shain, of Skrillex fame), Dead Sara will tour supporting Chevelle, and then perform as a featured act during the summer’s Warped tour.
