Of Monsters and Men: My Head is an Animal

Icelandic six piece indie folk/indie pop band Of Monsters and Men will release their debut full-length My Head is an Animal on April 3, 2012. After winning 2010′s Músíktilraunir, an annual battle of the bands competition in Iceland, acheiving an Icelandic #1 hit with their debut EP Little Talks, and then being declared as “the next Arcade Fire” by Rolling Stone Magazine, they landed at the famed Universal Music Group (after many US companies fought to win them over). One of the bands most buzzed about at SXSW 2012, (I had the pleasure of seeing them when they opened for Ed Sheeran) the band’s first US-wide tour almost completely sold out on the day of their album release. Wowza!

Their Spring album promo will culminate at The Newport Folk festival in July, 2012.
